Vestry Highlights
March, 2008
At the March meeting, your Vestry:
- Applauded the planting, mulch and church spring cleaning (inside and out) in the works;
- Rejoiced that the Pancake Supper raised $607 to be donated to Episcopal Relief and Development;
- Noted that $11,100 is available from the Barnabas Funds for outreach;
- Looked forward to choir activities planned for May; and,
- Looked forward to the April 6 meeting to get updates from the Transition Team.
January, 2008
At the January meeting, your Vestry:
- Approved $100/ month support for the Claymont Food Closet.
- 2008 Budget approved. Will be shared at the annual meeting.
- Donations will be accepted at the Pancake Supper for ERD.
- $2500 donation approved from Barnabas to the Interfaith Resource Center.
- Search consultant Rae Booth submitted a proposal and it was approved.
- Website is closer to completion and it looks awesome!
December, 2007
At the December meeting, your Vestry:
- Approved an alcohol policy for church functions
- Approved $2,000 outreach for Claymont Community Food Closet
- Continued work on the new Saint Albans website
- Planned the Greening of the Church and soup/chili luncheon for December 23
- Revived the Books for Kids program with A.I. DuPont Childrens Hospital
- Confirmed support of Sister Sheila's deaconate process
- Identified need to create Transition Team to start the search process for a permanent rector -- we need a few good folks!
